Inspired by pop art and graffiti art with a touch of religious iconography. From a photo I took in 2005 on a visit to Greece of the statue of Antinous unearthed in the 1890's at Delphi. Antinous was a young man who became the obsession of Emperor Hadrian who filled the Roman Empire after Antinous' tragic death with statues like this one celebrating his youth and beauty
